Vigna L'AJA BRUCIATA

MAREMMA TOSCANA VERMENTINO SUPERIORE DOC

Rocca delle Macìe’s highest expression “in white,” it’s the result of a project by Andrea Zingarelli aimed at pushing Vermentino cultivated in Maremma to the limits of its potential.

The grapes destined for this come exclusively from Casa Maria Estate.

Grape Varieties: Vermentino 100%

Planting Year: 2008 Vineyard

Location: Casa Maria Estate, L’Aja Bruciata Vineyard

Surface Area: 5.47 hectares

Planting Density: 6,060 vines/ha

Exposure: North-Northwest

Altitude: min-max 135-150m above sea level

Soil: Sandy quartzite, with a sandy loam texture, tends to be sub-acidic

After a temperature-controlled vinification of about 10 days, the wine undergoes maturation for at least 9 months in concrete tanks, with frequent bâtonnage. It is then bottled and left to refine for an additional 8 months before being released to the market.

Color: pale straw, tending towards greenish.

Bouquet: very fine varietal aromas, overall floral and fruity.

Taste: savory, rounded, and elegant, with a fresh and harmonious aroma, and a rhythmic longevity.
